| Scope of the program | International students, including those from Pakistan, are welcomed to advance into a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Engineering at Simon Fraser University (SFU) through the Fraser International College University Transfer Program (Stage 2) in Engineering Science. | Program entry requirement | In order to transfer to the Faculty of Applied Science, students need to complete a 'W' (writing) course and a 'Q' (quantitative) course. They must achieve a grade of C- or better in all classes and maintain a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.40 by the end of their second semester at FIC. Successful transfer students need a minimum GPA of 2.75 for specific engineering programs and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 for admission to the university. Students interested in changing their program to an Applied Science program should meet with an advisor by the end of week two of the semester prior to transferring. |

| Post-study work opportunity | Canada's Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program: After completing their studies, qualifying international graduates are permitted to work in Canada for a maximum of three years under the terms of this government-mandated scheme. To be eligible, your course of study must be from an approved educational institution, and you must apply for the PGWP as soon as you graduate.
