Program language requirementIELTS Academic: A minimum of 6.0 overall, with no band falling below 5.5. TOEFL iBT: 80 is the minimum score, and no section should be less than 19. A minimum of 105 on the Duolingo English exam. The minimum overall score on the CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment) is 60, with no part scoring less than 50. Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic): The score for each component should be at least 46; a minimum score of 54 is required.

Program entry requirementA in English 12 or above, a passing grade on an English proficiency exam, or an IELTS score of 6.0 or above. It is advised that students enroll in ENG 104 during their first semester. In the first semester, students who do not have a band score of at least 60 in Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking on the Academic IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 20, PTE 50, or CAEL 60 will have to take ENG 104. By the first day of the program, applicants enrolled in the Adventure Guiding option must also complete and submit the medical documents, have a B in Workplace Math 11 or an equal grade, and pass the math assessment.

Part timeworkEntirely: During planned school breaks, such as the summer or winter holidays, international students studying in Canada are frequently permitted to work entirely. Post-study work opportunityCanada's Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program: After completing their studies, qualifying international graduates are permitted to work in Canada for a maximum of three years under the terms of this government-mandated scheme. To be eligible, your course of study must be from an approved educational institution, and you must apply for the PGWP as soon as you graduate. Even though NPU might not be on the list of approved universities, you should consider returning to Canada to finish your undergraduate degree or enrolling in a post-graduate program at one of the universities eligible for the PGWP
