Brandon University Scholarships

Applied-For Graduate Scholarships

A number of applied-for graduate scholarships are also available, meaning that you have to submit an application in order to be considered. To be considered, you must meet all of the eligibility criteria below:

Registration in Brandon University courses during the prior year;

This requirement waived for graduate entrance scholarships.
Minimum entrance (entering students) or cumulative (continuing students) GPA of 2.5;
(Recipients typically have GPAs closer to 4.0.)
Registration at Brandon University for the upcoming year.

AP (Advanced Placement) Scholarship

High school students entering university for the first time who have excelled in AP (Advanced Placement) courses will be recognized.
Amount: $250
High school students must submit their AP (Advanced Placement) results to Admissions, by August 31 to be considered for this scholarship. There is no requirement for students to claim transfer credit to receive Advanced Placement (AP) Scholarships.

Minimum Registration Requirement
Regardless of the value of an AP (Advanced Placement) scholarship received, recipients must maintain registration in a minimum of 12 credit hours at Brandon University in each of the Fall and Winter terms of the year in which they hold the scholarship.

Applied-For Entrance Scholarships

Brandon University offers a limited number of entrance scholarships for which an application is required. In order to be considered for one of these awards, you must meet all of the following criteria:

Apply for admission to Brandon University by March 1;
Provide your transcript to Brandon University by March 1;
Attend Brandon University directly from an accredited Canadian high school;
A one-year “gap year” is permitted as long as you do not pursue any post-secondary education during that time
Have a Grade 11 or Grade 12 scholarship average of at least 85%;
Submit an online application and any required supporting documents in advance of the published deadline.
