Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology is a primary member of the TU9 body and is officially recognized as a research-based public institution in Karlsruhe, Germany. Karlsruhe Research Facility and the Institution of Karlsruhe amalgamated to form the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT in 2009. KIT won the excellent designation in 2006 as part of the German institute’s Excellence Initiative. In 1972, one of the top technological universities in Germany and Europe founded the first computer science faculty in that country.
