Bangor University or Prifysgol Bangor in Welsh is a governmental higher education platform with its main body in Bangor, Wales. University in UK was one of the founding organizations of the Federal University of Wales and acquired its Royal Charter in 1885. Its name was later changed to University of Wales, Bangor, and in 2007, it split from the University of Wales to become Bangor University of Wales. An institution with a rich history, BU Wales has been committed to academic achievement for more than 120 years. Its status as a renowned international research institution with a world-class reputation was confirmed by the most recent Research Assessment Exercise.

The University ranking is impressive as it comes in 401–500th position among the world’s best universities. Also, the University UK ranking is excellent, with a 38th position. The University ranking in the world, commonly known as the  QS ranking, is 566-650. Another plus is the Bangor University acceptance rate of 82.6%.
