Diploma in Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Students at Confederation College pursue a two-year Diploma in Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Technician through the Engineering & Technology discipline, centered on aerospace manufacturing. Aircraft assembly together with materials science and quality assurance and manufacturing methods make up this subdiscipline. The aerospace manufacturing industry is essential for both aviation operations and technological advancement. The educational initiative used to create this program started as a collaboration between Canada’s top aerospace companies: Avcorp (BC), Arnprior Aerospace, Bombardier Regional Aircraft (de Havilland), Bombardier Transportation (Thunder Bay), Boeing Canada Technology Ltd., and Magellan Aerospace. The new Technology Education Collaboration Hub allows students to both learn and gain hands-on experience in modern laboratory facilities while providing skills transferability to the mass transit and car manufacturing sectors, the recreational vehicle industry, and beyond. Laboratory learning complements academic instruction through the program, which trains students to become aerospace production operators alongside quality control specialists and maintenance technicians. Aerospace engineering students at Confederation College benefit from state-of-the-art education spaces, industrial alliances, and applied lessons that prepare them for employment opportunities in aerospace engineering.
