Program language requirementMost international students are required to take language tests. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is the preferred test, and students can take either the Internet-based (iBT) or paper-based (PBT) version. For the TOEFL, a minimum score of 80 on the iBT, 213 on the computer-based test, or 550 on the paper-based test is required. If taking the paper-based test, the Test of Written English (TWE) is also recommended, with a minimum score of 4.5. Alternatively, students can take the Academic version of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a band score of 6.5 or better. This test provides an alternative to the TOEFL. Vanier College is an approved ETS® Certified Test Administration Site and offers the option to take the TOEFL Internet-Based Test on-site. Students interested in taking the test at Vanier should contact the Language School for details.

Scope of the programThe Vanier College Diploma in Animal Health Technology program gives students the abilities and information needed to succeed in positions involving the care of animals and veterinary support. This program is especially beneficial for people who want to work with animals in a variety of settings, such as farms, animal shelters, veterinarian offices, and research institutes. It includes a wide range of subjects, including pharmacology, animal care methods, anatomy and physiology, and diagnostics. Due to the growing awareness of animal welfare, the growth of veterinary services, and the necessity for high-quality care in agriculture and research, there is an increasing demand for qualified animal health experts in Pakistan and many other nations. The prevalence of zoonotic diseases—diseases that humans contract from animals—has increased globally, which emphasizes how crucial it is to have highly qualified animal health technicians. Professionals with specialized training in animal health technology are in greater demand as nations increase their investments in veterinary education and animal health infrastructure. This tendency is indicative of a rising understanding of the critical role that animal health plays in food security, public health, and the general welfare of animals. The abilities that graduates of this program gain are transportable and in demand across numerous locations so that they can anticipate a wide range of job options both domestically and globally.
