The Diploma in Jewelry & Metals is one of Canada’s most demanded training grounds for aspiring designers. This intensive diploma provides comprehensive training in traditional and contemporary techniques in Precision goldsmithing and silversmithing, Lost-wax casting and mold-making, Stone setting and enameling, and CAD/CAM design (Rhino 3D, Matrix).
Students work in a professional-grade studio with industry-standard equipment, including laser welders and 3D printers. The program’s unique “Designer Maker” approach emphasizes both craftsmanship and entrepreneurial skills, with students developing complete product lines for the annual graduate exhibition. Georgian’s partnerships with the Canadian Gemological Association and Ontario Crafts Council provide certification opportunities and industry networking.
