Program language requirementIf English is not your first language, you can take the VCC EAL Speaking Assessment and Accuplacer. If English is your first language, you are only accepted for specific courses. Acceptable tests include CAEL CE/CAEL Online (Overall 40), Cambridge Assessment C1 Advanced (Overall 162), Duolingo Test (Not acceptable for specific programs - 95), IELTS Academic (Overall 5.5), Pearson Test of English Academic/PTE Academic Online (Overall 42), and TOEFL iBT/TOEFL iBT Home Edition (50 total points).

Part timeworkEntirely: During planned school breaks, such as the summer or winter holidays, international students studying in Canada are frequently permitted to work entirely.
