The lone university in the province is the University of Prince Edward Island, a public institution located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Established in 1969. Entry Requirements:

Undergraduate

Higher Secondary Certificate / Intermediate Certificate Applicants must demonstrate a minimum average of 70% in their college program.

International Baccalaureate a completed IB Diploma with an overall score of 28

Postgraduate:

A Bachelor’s degree of four years or a Bachelor’s with honors, or equivalent professional degree, from an approved university, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or an average of 75% or higher in the last 20 courses

English Language Requirements:

Undergraduate

IELTS: A minimum overall band score of 6.5

TOEFL: A minimum score of 79 with a minimum score of 20 in reading and writing, and not less than 17 in listening and speaking.

PTE: A minimum score of 58 in each of the reading, writing, listening, and speaking components

Postgraduate


IELTS: 7 in writing and no band lower than 6.5

TOEFL: 100 with a minimum of 25 in speaking and writing; 22 in reading and listening

Process: Nomination by the varsity coaching staff.

Scholarship Type: Award

Description: awarded to an international student who is currently a member of one of the UPEI varsity athletic teams and in good academic standing. Students will be nominated by their coaches.

International Scholastic Achievement Prize

Maximum Amount: $1500.00

Status: International

Deadline: Feb 1

Occasion: Spring Bursary (Financial Need)

Scholarship Type: Award

Description: A non-renewable prize for international students who have achieved and maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have contributed to the campus community, and have not previously received an International Scholastic Achievement Prize.

Royal Commonwealth Society (PEI Branch) Award

Maximum Amount: $600

Description: Awarded annually to a UPEI student from a Commonwealth country in any field of study. The award is based on academic excellence and need. It seeks to recognize students who will use their studies to contribute to the development of their country of origin. Preference will be given to a student who is not normally resident in Canada.

Ambrose Lee International Student Prize

Maximum Amount: $500.00
