Benefits of Simmons University Kotzen Scholarships
The following advantages are offered to the recipient of the Simmons University Kotzen Scholarships:
- Each year, $3,000 is awarded for research funding, study abroad, short-term courses, and summer internship tuition.
- Full tuition, required fees, and accommodation & board are all covered by the scholarship.
Eligibility
- English is a required language.
- All nations in the world are eligible.
- Standardized test scores of at least 28 on the ACT, 1300 on the new SAT, or 1250 on the old SAT (CR+M). Getting at least 600 in each SAT section is strongly recommended.
- Apply as a first-year student for the autumn semester.
- Test results from the TOEFL and SAT or ACT are required for non-native English speakers.
- An advanced math course taken during or before your senior year of high school with an unweighted GPA of 3.3 or above is part of a college preparation program.
- A history of enrolling in international baccalaureate (IB), advanced placement (AP), and honours courses as offered by respective high school systems.
Procedure for Applications
The application consists of a formal essay answering the essay prompt. By December 1, students must turn in their essays via the Common Application or by email with the subject “Simmons Distinguished Scholar Award application” in a Word document or PDF format. The student’s entire name and birthdate should be on every page of the document.
