Diploma in Journalism at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a vibrant sub-discipline within Social & Behavioural Science. It is a focused program on the art and ethics of storytelling in the digital age. The two-year Print and Online Journalism diploma immerses students in news writing, digital media, photography, marketing, PR, and publication design. During the small classes, students acquire voice and training in ethical reporting and practical experience in writing stories or banning on SAIT online newspaper, called the Press. The program is crowned by a simulated newsroom and a four-week practicum that keeps the graduates prepared for the rapidly developing environment of modern journalism.
