| Scope of the program | There is a lot of promise for graduates of Olds College's Bachelor of Applied Science in Agribusiness, not just in Canada but abroad in places like Pakistan. The extensive curriculum of the program gives students the information and abilities they need to address global agricultural concerns and contribute to the agribusiness industry worldwide. Pakistan's economy primarily depends on agriculture, which employs a sizable section of the workforce and makes up a sizable amount of the country's GDP. The nation must employ contemporary agricultural techniques to address water scarcity, inefficient farming practices, and other issues. Olds College's agribusiness program alums can significantly transform Pakistan's agricultural industry by introducing cutting-edge agribusiness management techniques, enhancing supply chain efficiency, and promoting sustainable farming practices. The economy will benefit from Pakistani farmers' increased production, lower costs, and easier access to foreign markets thanks to their financial, marketing, and technological know-how. The demand for qualified agribusiness specialists is just as great in other developing nations with comparable agricultural economies. These nations frequently face challenges with resource management, climate change adaptation, and food security. Precision farming, sustainable methods, and technological integration to streamline operations and lessen environmental effects may be the main priorities in affluent nations. The demand for efficient and sustainable agriculture practices is rising, causing a rapid evolution in the global agribusiness sector. Old college grads are equipped to handle these responsibilities. They can create and implement plans that support sustainable agriculture, increase food security, and advance rural development globally in collaboration with multinational agribusiness companies, international development organizations, and governmental bodies. |
