You need to have completed High School (Year 11) to enter the Foundation Studies (CIE) program. After the foundation degree, you will enter the Year 1 bachelor’s degree program at the University of Newcastle.IELTS: 6.0 or equivalent in English language

Degree Transfer
Degree Transfer programs are equivalent to the first year of a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Newcastle. Successful completion of a Degree Transfer program allows students to progress into the second year of an undergraduate degree without the need to provide any additional test results (e.g., IELTS) when transitioning into university.

Scholarships for the CIE Program (up to 20%)
We provide a number of scholarships to help with the tuition for our programs. These typically account for 5–20% of the entire program cost. There is no need for a separate application, as our scholarships are granted automatically. The precise amount given will depend on the applicant’s specific circumstances, such as their high school scores.
Kaplan Family Bursary (10%)
The Kaplan Family Bursary will be awarded to students whose sibling enrolls at the University of Newcastle College of International Education. The bursary offers 10% off tuition for the second sibling to accept and start their education.
International Excellence Scholarship (Information Technology and Computer Science)
The scholarship is valued at $15,000 for each year of study (up to $75,000) under a full-time study load.

This award, worth up to $30,000, is available to Pre-Master’s Program students who go on to any of the following degree programs. The scholarship is worth $15,000 for each year of Master’s study.

Eligibility for all Excellence Scholarships
Students pursuing Foundation Studies must earn an average of 67%, Degree Transfer and Degree Transfer Extended students must earn an average of 50%, and Pre-Master’s students must advance into their university degrees with a credit average.
*The following Health Science programs are not eligible for Progress Scholarships: Joint Medical Program, B Oral Health Therapy, B Physiotherapy, B Podiatry, and B Medical Radiation Science (all three streams).
