Berea College is the only university in the US that provides all enrolling overseas students with full funding for their first year of study. The cost of tuition, room, and board is partially covered by this combination of financial aid and scholarships.

To assist with living expenses in the following years, overseas students will need to save $1,000 (US) every year. To assist overseas students in meeting this criteria, the college offers summer jobs.

Upon acceptance, international students must pay a $50 (US) entry fee and a $2,200 (US) deposit to reserve their seat in the program. International students may use their deposit toward certain costs during their four years of study. Extra financial aid is available to students who are unable to pay the deposit in full or in part.

All international students get help with paid on-campus employment during the academic year through the College’s Work Program. Students can utilize their first year’s income, or about US $2,000, to cover personal expenses.
