This four-year curriculum is designed to help you become a better leader as well as an educator.
Pay and benefits
You are applying to the college for a degree program as well as a position in the Public Service of Canada when you apply. Once you are accepted into the program, you work for the company and will be paid:

Graduates of the Officer Training Program are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the Canadian Coast Guard and perform day-to-day duties. Upon completion of the four-year program, you will receive:
Bachelor of Technology degree in nautical science from Cape Breton University
Canadian Coast Guard College diploma
Commercial certification as a ship’s officer from Transport Canada
