About University

The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is a Canadian multi-campus government institution with branches in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, and Hope, British Columbia. Moreover, It is also famous as the University College of Fraser. Fraser Valley College came into existence in 1974 in response to the Fraser Valley communities’ demand for greater vocational training. Furthermore, It was granted the status of a university college in 1988 and began awarding degrees. However,It expanded quickly under the name University College of the Fraser Valley, evolving into one of the biggest university institutions in Canada. On April 21, 2008, the provincial government granted full university status in response to the expanding demand for higher education in the area and the province. In addition, There are currently over 15,000 new students attending university each year.

Also, according to the rankings list, the university is ranked #2,102 overall out of 14,160 universities, #612 in North America out of 2,624 universities, #52 in Canada out of 101 universities, and #6 in British Columbia out of 16 universities. Moreover, a 75% University of the Fraser Valley acceptance rate allows easy admissions for international students.

In addition to more than 100 certificates, diplomas, and postgraduate programs in fields like agriculture, the arts, business, computing and information systems, creative arts, healthcare, sciences and technology, and more, the UFV in British Columbia, Canada, offers 15 bachelor’s degrees, two master’s degrees, and more than 100 certificates, diplomas, and postgraduate programs overall. Furthermore, at the university, there are options for continuing education, adult learning, and cooperative learning. With enrollment in the fall, winter, and spring semesters, admissions are given on a semester-by-semester basis.
