Eligibility criteria for CDU RTP scholarships
To be eligible for an RTP Stipend Scholarship, the applicant:
- The applicant must be an international student participating in an approved HDR course of study at an Australian Higher Education Provider (HEP).
- If the student’s income exceeds 75% of their RTP Stipend rate, they must not receive any more funding to cover their basic living expenses while enrolled in their course of study.
- Must be receiving something other than a comparable grant or award from the Australian government intended to cover the cost of HDR tuition.
How to apply(No application fees)
Potential foreign HDR applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the HDR team at Charles Darwin University before being invited to apply for admission and scholarships.
The EOI must include the following:
- copies of your transcripts from school and your post-secondary degree award certificates (i.e., Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees)
- Curriculum vitae (CV), with published information
- A concise research proposal (between 1500 and 1700 words, or 3–4 pages) outlining the kind of study you want to conduct and providing more details on specific methodological approaches
Expected documents to submit during the online application:
- Request for applications (EOI approval email)
- Certified copies of all post-secondary qualification records, including grade systems, award certificates, transcripts of results, and, if necessary, English translations
- Evidence of fluency in the English language
- copy of a passport with personal and visa information on it
- Application Forms for Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) (Combined)
- Current Form for Research Output (HDR37)
- comprehensive resume or CV, including a list of publications
- Your referees should fill out two report forms and send them to the university at [email protected].
- A compelling single or family statement of purpose written by someone with experience
- written confirmation from the supervisor (by email, for example), etc.
