Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarships (VCIHAS)
CDU offers scholarships to overseas students who have demonstrated academic distinction and great success.
The scholarship cannot be transferred to another student, semester, course, or year, and it is not refundable or transferable for cash.
What you are going to get?
The scholarship covers half of the tuition for the entire course period and can be applied to undergraduate or graduate coursework degrees.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must apply to begin studying in S1 or S2 2025 (the intake that is offered initially).
- The applicant must fulfill the academic and English language proficiency requirements set by the University for the Selected Course.
- Must have completed their highest certification with a minimum overall score of 95%.
- The candidate must be an international student and pay international tuition; they cannot be the recipient of another scholarship from a foreign or Australian organization.
Selection Criteria
- Total score for the most advanced qualification they have completed.
- Supporting essays (up to 600 words) explaining your merit for a scholarship.
Duration
The scholarship’s tenure is the shortest amount of time needed to finish the course or when any of the following circumstances apply:
- The entire scholarship amount has been used up.
- You’ve finished your course.
- You no longer qualify for the scholarship’s continued eligibility.
Ongoing Eligibility
The grantee needs to fulfill all requirements to keep the scholarship:
- Continue to be an international student, for which you are required to pay fees.
- They must pay their share of the tuition on or before the first day of classes each semester.
- Ensure that you make sufficient educational advancement each semester, maintaining a minimum GPA of 5.3 and no failing grades in any units.
- Get approval to take a semester-long leave of absence, reduce their study load, or continue to attend full-time for 40 credit points (0.5 EFTSL) per semester.
