Program language requirementAn IELTS score of at least 6.0 overall and no bands below 6.0. Students with a writing band of 6.0 must pass English 099 in their first semester with a grade of "B" or above. If you would prefer, NLC will also accept your writing assessment in addition to the following scores: 78 on the TOEFL iBT, 60 on the Canadian Academic English Assessment (CAEL), eight on the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment (CLBA), 57 on the Pearson Test of English, 76 on the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB), 69 on the Cambridge-Michigan Language Assessment (CaMLA), and 57 on the Pearson Test of English.

Who can Choose this program?

Program entry requirementResidency Requirement: 25% of program hours must be completed at Northern Lights College. Minimum Grade Requirements: - 100% minimum score for all Pharmacology Math exams, with a maximum of two rewrites. - 80% (A-) minimum for the theory portion of Pharmacology courses. - 80% minimum to pass Integrated Lab Assessments or Skill Assessments in Integrated Nursing Practice courses. One retest is allowed for each Skills Assessment if 80% is not achieved. - 75% minimum for the theory portion of Integrated Nursing Practice courses. - 68% (B-) minimum for all other theory nursing courses.

Part timeworkEntirely: During planned school breaks, such as the summer or winter holidays, international students studying in Canada are frequently permitted to work entirely. Post-study work opportunityCanada's Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program: After completing their studies, qualifying international graduates are permitted to work in Canada for a maximum of three years under the terms of this government-mandated scheme. To be eligible, your course of study must be from an approved educational institution, and you must apply for the PGWP as soon as you graduate. Even though NPU might not be on the list of approved universities, you should consider returning to Canada to finish your undergraduate degree or enrolling in a post-graduate program at one of the universities eligible for the PGWP
