Master of Prehospital Critical Care

A 120 ECTS master’s degree program taught in English (offered in a 2-year full-time format or a 4-year flexible part-time structure). Hosted by the Faculty of Health Sciences, this interdisciplinary program addresses the growing demand for higher quality, advanced treatment, and evidence-based practice in prehospital emergency care as transport distances increase and patients are routed directly to specialized hospitals. The curriculum focuses strongly on analytical capability, critical appraisal of existing prehospital literature, and system-level quality improvement.

Scope of the programPrepares experienced healthcare professionals for advanced operational, administrative, and developmental careers—such as prehospital system developer, clinical specialist, medical preparedness coordinator, knowledge broker, and quality improvement project manager—across ambulance services, air ambulance foundations, emergency medical communication centers, health authorities, and research institutions, as well as eligibility to pursue doctoral (PhD) studies.
Program entry requirementAcademic requirement: Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) + 4 years university education or Intermediate Examination Certificate + 4 years university education. Minimum grade requirement: 3,0 of 4,0 or higher. 1. CV must be up to date and uploaded as one PDF file. 2. Pay the required UDI residence permit application fee online and download your cover letter. 6.
