Students with a writing band of 6.0 must pass English 099 in their first semester with a grade of "B" or above. If you would prefer, NLC will also accept your writing assessment in addition to the following scores: 78 on the TOEFL iBT, 60 on the Canadian Academic English Assessment (CAEL), eight on the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment (CLBA), 57 on the Pearson Test of English, 76 on the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB), 69 on the Cambridge-Michigan Language Assessment (CaMLA), and 57 on the Pearson Test of English.

Part timeworkEntirely: During planned school breaks, such as the summer or winter holidays, international students studying in Canada are frequently permitted to work entirely.
