Griffith University operates all over its five campuses including Gold Coast, Nathan, Logan, South Bank, and Mount Gravatt. The institution takes its name after Sir Samuel Walker Griffith, the first Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia and a two-time Premier of Queensland. It came into being in 1971 and opened in 1975, offering Australia’s first degrees in environmental science and Asian studies. Griffith is a well-regarded young institution, placing 46th in the 2023 Times Higher Education Young Institution Rankings. It ranks #243 in the QS World University Rankings 2024.

Griffith University provides a broad selection of scholarships to overseas students enrolling in undergraduate, postgraduate, research, and route programs. We also provide scholarships to promote and assist the families of Griffith students and graduates.
