Canada’s MacEwan University is a public undergraduate institution in the heart of Edmonton, Alberta. It was once a two-year college before becoming Alberta’s sixth University in 2009. MacEwan University has ten bachelor’s degrees, one applied degree, and forty-three diploma and certificate programs. The University placed in the TOP 50% in 35 research fields, ranked 2349th globally in the 2024 grade, and 56th in Canada. This grant helps students who have completed an undergraduate degree program at MacEwan University pursue full-time graduate and professional courses. The winners of this prize have excelled academically while exhibiting dedication to their subject of study and participating in extracurricular activities such as student groups, projects, etc.
To be considered for this award, alums must:
- Alums must submit a letter of recommendation from a MacEwan University faculty member or department head to qualify for this award.
- be enrolled in their last year of study towards a degree and qualified to get their diploma at the following Graduation
- present documentation proving enrollment and acceptance into a full-time graduate program
- Send a summary (750 words or less) detailing your research or academic accomplishments at MacEwan University and further study and employment goals.
- Accept sharing their written submission with the Alumni Office at MacEwan University.
Selection of Award
The alum office and the office in charge of student awards will confer before choosing the winners.
The selected applicants will receive email notifications. The committee’s decision is final, and appeals will not be considered.
Usually distributed during the winter semester.
