Foundation Courses
Foundation Studies prepares you for a successful transition to degree-level study, providing a pathway to the first year of study for a bachelor’s degree at Murdoch University. On successful completion of your Foundation Studies program, you’ll gain entry to the first year of any undergraduate degree at Murdoch University, with the exception of Veterinary Science, Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Education. The Veterinary Science course can be accessed through a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science.

Higher requirements and specific subject scores are required for law degrees.

Postgraduate Qualifying Program
Our Postgraduate Qualifying Program is a 5-unit course taught over one trimester. It has been designed as a pathway to a master’s degree for international students who don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s degree.

Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or Intermediate Certificate Average of 65% for best four academic subjects or higher.
Applicants with a Polytechnic Diploma may be exempted from up to 12 units and can gain entry to Year 2 of the program.
Applicants with a Murdoch University-recognised Kaplan Diploma or a private Diploma may be exempted from up to 8 units and can also gain entry to Year 2 of the program. The Bachelor’s Degree program accepts a wide range of qualifications with advanced standing.

Murdoch College Scholarships
We provide a 20% scholarship for students who begin their studies in 2024 and are enrolled in appropriate academic pathway programs.
Qualifications
You must fulfill the following requirements to be eligible for this scholarship.
- Murdoch College requires you to start your studies there in 2024.
- At Murdoch College, you are a student on the academic track.
- During the term of this college scholarship, you cannot be the beneficiary of any other grants or scholarships from colleges, nor can you be a government-sponsored student.

Murdoch College Welcome Back International Scholarship
For the duration of their university studies at Murdoch University beginning in 2024, students who complete their Foundation Studies, Murdoch University Preparation Course, Diplomas, or Postgraduate Qualifying Program with Murdoch College will be eligible for a 20% Welcome Back International Scholarship (excluding the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Veterinary Biology, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), and Master of Clinical Psychology as these are ineligible courses).
