What is Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships for Post graduate Students?

Students enrolled in specific master’s degree programs at Newcastle University are eligible to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships-Postgraduate 2025–2026. The goal of the scholarship is to provide exceptional students with financial support to finish their education. The chosen applicants will have their tuition costs waived by up to 50%. Moreover, this scholarship reduces the financial strain of studying abroad by allowing the student to pursue their higher education in chosen nations with lower tuition costs.

Eligibility for Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships in UK

  • Must be an international fee-paying student.
  • Hold an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught program at Newcastle University.
  • Have, or expect to earn, the equivalent of a UK upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or higher.
  • You must receive your admission offer before applying for the scholarship.
  • 30 candidates overall will be chosen on the basis of their qualifications and merit.

Not Eligible If You Are:

A Indonesian University student in the Faculty of Medical Sciences.

Applying for MPhil, MLitt, PhD, Integrated PhD, or DClinPsych programs.

Applying for a Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma.

Applying to an online (e-learning) program.

Applying for an undergraduate degree.

Enrolled in a Dual Award program.

A current student already studying a postgraduate degree at Newcastle University.

A study abroad or exchange student.

For the duration of their master’s program, the chosen applicant will have 50% of their tuition paid.
