Entry Requirements Undergraduate

High School: High marks on the Intermediate/Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) with an appropriate Foundation program 

A-levels: ABB– BBC

International Baccalaureate: minimum 30 points 

Postgraduate

A master’s degree in professional topics (after a “2+2” or 4-year bachelor’s degree) or a bachelor’s degree in professional subjects after four years. 

English Language Requirements Undergraduate

IELTS: 6.0 Level 5.5 is required for minimum proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. 

TOEFL: 79 Speaking: minimum proficiency 20, Listening: minimum proficiency 17. Level 18 is required for reading, and level 17 is the minimum for writing 

Postgraduate

IELTS: 6.5. Minimal proficiency in Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening is 5.5; minimal proficiency in Speaking is 5.5. 

TOEFL: Total rating of 90 Minimum level of listening: 17. Speaking: at least a 20-level Minimum reading proficiency is 18. Writing: at least a level 17.

Sheffield Hallam University Scholarship

GREAT scholarship

Value: Scholarship recipients will receive the £10,000 tuition fee waiver for a full-time postgraduate taught degree over the course of the academic year.

Eligibility

1. Pay your fees as an international student and cover all your educational expenses alone, without assistance from the government, another scholarship provider, a business, or an employer. 

 2. Have completed your undergraduate honors degree with a minimum grade of 2.1 or equivalent.

 3. Fulfill the prerequisites for your selected course regarding academic admission and English language skills. 

 4. Have the money to cover the remaining tuition balance and any extra costs—like field trips—that your course may impose. 

For the scholarship you need to:

1.Have a legal residence in Thailand, Pakistan, or India. There is one scholarship available for these countries.

 2. Have submitted an application to Sheffield Hallam University for a full-time taught postgraduate program beginning in September 2024

You are not eligible to apply for or receive this scholarship if you: 

 1. Enrolled in the Sheffield Hallam University degree for which you are submitting a scholarship application already.

 2. Possess a GREAT or GREAT Justice and Law scholarship from the past.

Applications must be submitted by Friday, May 31, 2024. 

Vice Chancellor’s Award for South Asian Students 2023-2024

It is offering a Vice Chancellor’s Award (a £2,000 automatic tuition fee bursary) to South Asian-domiciled applicants for full-time taught undergraduate courses and postgraduate courses starting in September 2023 and January 2024

Terms and conditions

  1. You must be a self-financing student eligible to pay international tuition fees.
  2. It would help if you were domiciled in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or Nepal.
  3. You will only receive the award for your first year of study
  4. Must not have previously studied at Sheffield Hallam
  5. You must meet the entry requirements in your offer letter before enrolling.
  6. All decisions on eligibility for these awards are at the University’s discretion and are final.
