The University of Auckland is a public research university based in Auckland, New Zealand. It is the largest, most comprehensive, and highest-ranked university in New Zealand and consistently places among the top 100 universities in the QS World University Rankings. The institution was established in 1883 as a constituent college of the University of New Zealand. Today, the University of Auckland is New Zealand’s largest university by enrolment, hosting about 40,000 students on five Auckland campuses. The City Campus, in the Auckland CBD, has the bulk of the students and faculties. There are eight faculties, including a law school, as well as three associated research institutes.

University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship

New full fee-paying international students undertaking a PGDip or Master of 120 points or more, excluding masters by thesis, or an undergraduate degree (with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications)   
Opening date: 10 October 2022 (Semester One intake) and 9 March 2022 (Semester Two intake)

Closing date: 21 November 2022 (Semester One intake) and 20 April 2022 (Semester Two intake)

Tenure: One year
Number of awards: Up to 50
Value: Up to $10,000 for either postgraduate study or undergraduate study

Selection Criteria

The basis of selection will be academic merit,
the quality of the letter of application, and endorsement by the applicant’s referee.
The country of origin of the applicant may be considered by the selection committee to align with the University’s strategic aims.
Candidates must have a grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00 to be eligible for Scholarship consideration ( 90%+)
