To assist students pursuing Master’s and PhD degrees, the University of Tasmania provides a wide range of postgraduate scholarships. Through stipends, tuition fee discounts, and additional research support, UTAS provides significant financial aid to students pursuing coursework-based study or research in disciplines such as business, engineering, marine science, or agriculture.
Scholarship for Tasmanian Access
Starting in 2024, international students studying in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam will be able to apply for scholarships.

15% off the entire program-length registered tuition cost.
Eligibility
- Fulfil the requirements to be considered an international student as outlined in the University of Tasmania’s application guidelines.
- Not begin at the University of Tasmania under a partnership agreement with a partner possess.
- Possess citizenship from Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and Mustietnam.
- Must be enrolled full-time in an eligible postgraduate program.
- Not be enrolled in one of the University of Tasmania’s Transnational Education (TNE) partner institutions.
- In 2024, you will begin the first year of your program.
- Not be awarded a fully funded scholarship by the government.
Apply
Students’ exams are completed immediately after they submit their foreign student application, so they do not need to apply separately. Scholarship recipients will receive letters.
Tasmanian International Scholarship
By applying for the Tasmanian International Scholarship, international students who fulfil the eligibility requirements can receive a 25% tuition price discount for their term. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance standards.

Throughout the duration of the program, 25% off the total registered tuition cost.

All international applicants for postgraduate coursework degrees must be citizens of above mentioned countries.
Tasmanian International Scholarships are immediately available to international scholarship recipients. Based on their performance in secondary school, students will be chosen for the certificate and degree level.

Applying for this scholarship allows international students who have completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Tasmania to participate in postgraduate coursework programs at a 10% registered tuition price reduction. Most postgraduate coursework programs are eligible for the discount (some limits may apply).

1. Students who have finished their undergraduate studies at the University of Tasmania and are qualified to participate in a postgraduate coursework program are eligible to apply for the Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship.
2. Accepting the scholarship with the highest value is encouraged. Students who receive numerous offers of tuition fee scholarships can hold only one scholarship simultaneously.

Graduates of the University of Tasmania, when enrolling in the postgraduate coursework program at UTAS, will be eligible for the Foreign Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship as soon as they submit their foreign student application. Submitting another scholarship application is option.
