Tasmanian Access Scholarship

The acceptance of the scholarship applications will begin in 2024 from overseas students studying in the following:

Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.

Value

15% off the total registered tuition cost for the length of the program.

Eligibility

1. fulfill the requirements for this scholarship as an international student as available in the University of Tasmania’s application guidelines.
2. Not be starting at the University of Tasmania with a partner university through an articulation arrangement.
3. Hold citizenship from *Vietnam, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Philippines, or Sri Lanka.
4. Must be studying full-time in a postgraduate program that qualifies.
5. Not be studying in a partner institution for Transnational Education (TNE) with the University of Tasmania.
6. Be starting your program’s first year in 2024.
7. not have a fully funded scholarship by the government.

Apply

Assessment of Students is automatic depending upon submission of their International Student Application, so there is no need to apply separately. Scholarship recipients will get letters.

Tasmanian International Scholarship

International students who meet the requirements can apply for the Tasmanian International Scholarship, which offers a 25% tuition price discount for the duration of their term. Academic excellence is the criterion for scholarship awarding.

More information

1. Except for a few courses, all international students who apply to study for postgraduate coursework degrees must be citizens of another country.
2. International students have immediate access to Tasmanian International Scholarships. The scholarship recipient will be chosen based on their academic achievement in secondary, certificate, and degree-level coursework.
3. All semester intake applications are evaluated, and the applicant’s highest level qualification before starting their chosen study program (minimum one-year duration) will determine their standing for this award.
4. After final results have been submitted, offer letters will inform applicants if they have been awarded a scholarship. Successful TIS recipients will find information about the scholarship terms and conditions inside their offer, which they must carefully read. The scholarship is only available to students who will be starting their studies. Current students will not be reevaluated for International Scholarships based on their academic performance at the University of Tasmania.

Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship

Value	10% reduction in registered tuition fees for the duration of the course.
Ongoing eligibility	Not applicable.

Overview

International students who have completed their undergraduate degrees at the University of Tasmania can apply for this scholarship, allowing them to enroll in postgraduate coursework programs at a 10% registered tuition price reduction. The discount applies to most postgraduate coursework programs (some restrictions may apply).

Eligibility

1. The Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship is open to University of Tasmania students who have completed their undergraduate studies there and are eligible to enroll in a postgraduate coursework program.
2. Students can’t have two tuition fee scholarships simultaneously when they receive multiple offers; accepting the scholarship with the highest value is advised.

Apply

Upon submitting their international student application, graduates of the University of Tasmania interested in pursuing a postgraduate coursework program at UTAS will immediately be eligible for the International Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship. A further scholarship application is optional.
