A contribution to tuition fees of $6,000 per year (for a maximum of two years)
Select Postgraduate Programs
All qualified candidates who fulfill the minimal academic standards for the following postgraduate programs will receive the benefit:
- 1714 Master of Teaching (Secondary)
- 1792 Master of Social Work (Qualifying)
- 2813 Master of Property Investment and Development
- 2816 Master of Business Analytics
- 3693 Master of Engineering
- 3699 Master of Information and Communications Technology
- 3749 Master of Science
- 3765 Master of Artificial Intelligence
- 4702 Master of Public Health
Other Postgraduate Programs (not listed above)
The degree of academic success in earlier studies will determine the value given:
- One of two options is to contribute $6,000 annually toward tuition fees (up to 160 credit points or a maximum of two years)
- $300 annually toward tuition fees (up to 160 credit points or a maximum of two years).
Benefits will be applied to tuition costs for postgraduate programs when enrolled full-time, for a maximum of two years.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
1. Be an international student rather than a citizen of Australia, New Zealand, or another country, or a long-term resident of Australia. The scholarship will end if, during the study period, your status changes to one of these.
2. Meet the prerequisites for academic eligibility for either of the multi-year scholarships in their most recent tertiary degree that Western Sydney University recognizes as completed.
3. Fulfill all other prerequisites for admission and accept their offer of admission.
4. Begin a fresh course of study for the first time in 2024.
Applicants are not eligible if they:
- Have permanent residency in Australia or New Zealand, or you are an Australian citizen
- Studying overseas or hosting an exchange student at the university
- Are presently studying in Western Sydney University’s program and have applied for a scholarship for it.
- Don’t start studies in the year and session that their offer specifies.
- Don’t send in an application and acceptance form that is filled out.
- Are requesting to enroll in a course of study at the Sydney City campus.
- Intend to enroll in a postgraduate program that lasts less than a year.
- To finish the program, you must study fewer than 80 credits.
- Have received an additional scholarship from the university or another funding source covering all or a portion of the tuition costs to attend Western Sydney University
- Are registering for a PhD or other advanced degree research program.
Application and selection process
No application is necessary. All new coursework applications for admission will be automatically on the consideration list for a scholarship. Your Offer of Admission letter will provide details about your scholarship offer if you are selected.
Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships
Benefits | Fifty percent (50%) of tuition fees per session for full-time enrolment for the duration of the degree up to a maximum of two years. |
Duration | Two years. |
Programs | All CRICOS registered postgraduate coursework degrees with a minimum of one year and up to a maximum of two years duration. Excluding Postgraduate research degrees, Master of Nursing Practice, Master of Clinical Psychology, Master of Research, and Higher Degrees Research programs. |
Criteria
1. Be an international student rather than a citizen of Australia, New Zealand, or any country with permanent residency status in Australia. If during the study time your visa status changes to one of these, the scholarship will be terminated.
2. Launch a fresh course of study in 2024.
3. Have been given permission to enroll at Western Sydney University
4. Fulfill the scholarship’s academic standards, which include completing a higher secondary education program with a minimum GPA of 5.95 out of 7.0 or its equivalent.
5. Meet all other prerequisites for admission and, by the acceptance deadline, accept their offer of admission.
Applicants are not eligible if they:
1. Have permanent residency in Australia or New Zealand or are citizens of either country
2. Study overseas or visit the university as an exchange student.
3. Are enrolled in Western Sydney University now and apply for a scholarship related to their present course of study.
4. attempting to apply for advanced standing for their course either before or after enrollment.
5. Miss the deadline for applying to Western Sydney University and/or receiving an acceptance.
6. Are requesting to enroll in a course offered in the Sydney City campus.
7. Given another scholarship from the university or another body that pays all or a portion of the tuition to attend Western Sydney University
8. Are requesting admission to a postgraduate research program.
Application period
Separate Scholarship applications are not necessary as eligibility is automatic with your Western applications.
