Eligibility Requirements

1. Citizenship

Applicants must belong to eligible countries such as Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Egypt, etc.

2. Academic Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree equivalent to the Swedish undergraduate level

3. Work Experience

At least 3,000 hours of verified work experience (full-time, part-time, voluntary work, internships).

4. Leadership Experience

Applicants must show strong leadership skills through professional or community roles.

5. Admission Requirement

You must be admitted to a Swedish Master’s program through UniversityAdmissions.se before scholarship selection.

How to Apply for the Government of Sweden Scholarship (2026)

Applying for SISGP involves two separate applications:

Step 1: Apply to a Master’s Program in Sweden

1. Visit UniversityAdmissions.se
   
   
2. Select your preferred Master’s programs.
   
   
3. Upload all required documents.
   
   
4. Pay the application fee (if required)
   
   
5. Apply before the January 2026 deadline.

This step is compulsory because you must be admitted to a Master’s program before being considered for the scholarship.

Step 2: Apply for the SISGP Scholarship (Government Scholarship)

1. When the scholarship portal opens in February 2026, go to the Swedish Institute Application Portal
   
   
2. Fill in the online scholarship application form.

Step 4: Scholarship Selection Result
