Global Curtin Scholarships – Merit Scholarship

Curtin University works to provide top-achieving students with the chance to achieve their goals and receive a top-notch education worldwide. In order to do this, Curtin offers the Merit Scholarship, which provides 25% off the first year’s tuition to qualified international students.

Application process

A separate scholarship application is not necessary.

Global Curtin Scholarships – Australian Year 12 Scholarship

Curtin University is aware that the number of international students pursuing an Australian high school diploma is rising. This award is intended to support this cohort by providing financial aid to international students who get an Australian high school diploma, whether they do it domestically or abroad.

Scholarship Details

Eligible courses

All undergraduate degrees are available to international students (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery excluded).

Eligibility criteria

The sole recipients of this scholarship are:

1. International students of any nationality who pay full tuition and are not sponsored, with the exception of Australians.
2. Students starting their studies at Curtin’s campuses in Western Australia in 2025.
3. Students starting an undergraduate program at Curtin (excluding those pursuing a bachelor’s degree in medicine or surgery).

Please note that this scholarship:

1. Exclusively covers tuition fees; it doesn’t cover any other costs for international students. It offers up to 25% off the first-year tuition charge up to a maximum of 200 credit points.
2. By the census date, it will be credited to the recipient’s fee account.
3. The value of the scholarship cannot be accessed or repaid in cash.
4. Can be withdrawn if the recipient doesn’t enrol in their course or accept their offer letter by the deadline.
5. If the recipient already has a scholarship or support, Curtin has the right to revoke it.
6. Students who have received CRL (Credit for Recognised Learning) for any portion of their coursework are not eligible.
7. Cannot be kept if a beneficiary postpones their study past the commencement date of 2025.
8. Not transferable to another institution or Curtin campus outside of Western Australia.
9. Will not be prolonged past the time or amount specified unless Curtin notifies you differently.

To accept this scholarship offer, you must pay the full Deposit amount.

Science & Engineering Undergraduate International Merit Extension Scholarship

International undergraduate students starting their first year of study are cordially invited by the Faculty of Science and Engineering to apply for the Science and Engineering International Undergraduate Merit Extension Scholarship. The remaining time of their undergraduate degree program will be covered by this continuous merit-based scholarship.

All nationalities are eligible to apply for the Science and Engineering International Merit Extension Scholarship, which is intended to recognise exceptional students.

Eligible courses

All Undergraduates within the Faculty of Science & Engineering are available to International Students.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for a Science and Engineering International Merit Scholarship, applicants must fulfil EVERY ONE of the following requirements:

1.     Prior to consideration, applicants enrolled through the Curtin International Innovative International Scholarships Australian Year 12 must have letter approval from the Dean International.
2.     Must have started a full undergraduate program at Curtin University in Western Australia during Semesters 1 or 2.
3.     International students who pay full tuition are required.
4.     Must have fulfilled the academic and English language admission standards of Curtin University.
5.     Not able to attend Curtin with a sponsoring organization.
6.     No credit for recognised learning (CRL) must have been earned; a CWA of 80 or higher is required.

The Faculty of Science & Engineering will automatically evaluate the eligibility of students who received the 9-2023 Curtin Innovative Merit Scholarship and notify them based on their results; if not, they may be obliged to abide by the scholarship’s terms and conditions.
