Eligibility
A candidate needs to fulfill each of the following requirements to be eligible for the Scholarship:
- Continue to be an international student; do not hold a permanent residency permit in Australia or citizenship in New Zealand.
- Hold citizenship in any of the following countries: South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Macau SAR, South Korea, Taiwan, Mongolia, Latin America, Africa, South Asia, or South East Asia.
- Start attending UTS full-time and on campus in 2023 or 2024.
- fulfill the requirements for admission to UTS for the chosen undergraduate degree program.
- Achieved an Australian Year 12 or completed high school coursework recognized by UTS as equivalent to an Australian Year 12 and be accepted into UTS based on this qualification.
Must not:
- Have an Australian base before starting at UTS (it must be an offshore base).
- pursuing a distance learning or online degree at UTS
- Throughout the term of this award, you must be a government-sponsored student and a beneficiary of any other UTS International scholarships, grants, or the UTS Alumni Advantage Program.
How to apply
All incoming overseas students who apply for this scholarship and complete the requirements for UTS’s undergraduate coursework program in Sydney will be automatically considered by UTS overseas. There is no separate scholarship application or documentation in addition to the requirement for the coursework application.
Undergraduate Academic Excellence International Scholarship

Eligibility
For this UTS scholarship, an international student must meet the following requirements:
- They must not be citizens of Australia, New Zealand, or the United States
- They must have completed an Australian Year 12 or UTS-recognized high school studies equivalent to an Australian Year 12 outside of Australia
- Must also meet all admission requirements for the chosen UTS undergraduate coursework program.
- Must be starting classes at UTS on the Sydney campus full-time. All degrees, except online and distance learning, can be earned through on-campus studies, combining in-person and virtual instruction.
- Must not be pursuing a distance learning or online UTS degree.
Selection process
For admission to the chosen UTS undergraduate coursework program, applicants must demonstrate academic achievement in an Australian Year 12 (ATAR rank without adjustment factors) or UTS-recognized high school coursework equivalent to an Australian Year 12 certificate.
How to apply
All new overseas students applying to UTS in Sydney for an undergraduate program will automatically be considered for this scholarship by UTS overseas. There is no separate scholarship application or documentation in addition to the requirement for the coursework application.
UTS Vice-Chancellor’s International Undergraduate Scholarship

This Scholarship began to assist exceptional first-year international students enrolling in a UTS undergraduate program in Sydney. International applicants must uphold the university’s core values and show a dedication to social justice, innovation, excellence, and entrepreneurship.

Eligibility
- Be an international student, not be a citizen of Australia, New Zealand, or Australia permanently;
- Fulfill all prerequisites for enrollment in the chosen course by the scholarship application deadline.
- Start studying full-time on campus (Sydney). Studies conducted on campus comprise in-person and/or remote online learning that can be applied to any degree program except online and distance learning programs.
- Completed high school coursework equivalent to an Australian Year 12 or an Australian Year 12 outside of Australia up to three (3) years before starting at UTS and being accepted to UTS based on this qualification.
- Possess an overall average of 85% and a UTS-recognized high school qualification with a pass mark of 50% or above;
- To be eligible, all applicants must submit their applications online through the UTS Scholarship Application form.
Must not:
- possess government-sponsored education.
- pursuing a distance learning or online degree at UTS.
- For the term of this scholarship, be the beneficiary of another UTS award.
Selection process
The applicant’s response to the questions in the UTS online scholarship application and their academic merit in the educational qualification used as a foundation for admission into the chosen UTS Bachelor’s degree program determines who gets the scholarship. The highest-ranked applicant receives the scholarship. There is no separate scholarship application or documentation in addition to the requirement for the coursework application.
UTS Foundation Studies Scholarship
Overview
High-achieving overseas students who start their undergraduate studies at UTS College in Sydney after completing the UTS Foundation Studies will get this grant. International students who uphold the essential values of the university and can show a dedication to social justice, entrepreneurship, innovation, and excellence will be eligible to apply for the award.

Eligibility
- Requires to continue being an international student; not be a citizen of Australia, New Zealand, or Australia permanently
- must successfully finish the UTS Foundation Studies program at UTS College in Sydney, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 8.5 out of 10.0 without failing; and
- must fulfill every requirement for admission to the chosen undergraduate study at UTS.
- After completing their Foundation Studies program, candidates must begin full-time, on-campus undergraduate studies at UTS in Sydney in the upcoming intake. In addition to online and distance learning degrees, on-campus studies encompass in-person and online (remote) study.
Must not:
- Be pursuing a distance learning or online degree at UTS,
- possess government-sponsored education;
- Be eligible to receive another scholarship from UTS for this one term.
Selection process
Applicants with the highest GPA will be awarded a place in the UTS Foundation Studies program, which is completed at UTS College in Sydney.
