AAUW International Fellowship Program 2025
The American Association of University Women, USA, is offering a fully funded fellowship called the 2025–2026 AAUW Fellowship Program. We welcome international students from all across the world. This award is only valid for graduate and postgraduate study in any field provided by the university. The annual award from the AAUW Fellowship Program ranges from $20,000 to $50,000, subject to renewal requirements based on academic performance.

Benefits of AAUW Fellowship Scholarships
AAUW Fellowship awardees are given the following benefits:
- A master’s or first professional degree costs $20,000.
- Doctorate: $25,000.
- $50,000 for postdoctoral work
Funds for international fellowships are accessible for:
- Costs associated with education.
- Living costs.
- Dependent nursery.
- Attendance at conferences, seminars, or other professional gatherings, provided that it costs less than 10% of the fellowship.
Eligibility Criteria for AAUW Fellowship
- English is the required language.
- All countries across the globe, with the exception of the US, are qualified.
- If residing in the United States, possess a non-immigrant visa; if not, hold citizenship in a country other than the United States. Women who have U.S. citizenship, permanent residency in the United States, or dual citizenship with another country, either now or at any point during the fellowship year, are not eligible.
- Hold an academic degree equivalent to one from the United States, earned either domestically or abroad.
- Intend to spend the fellowship year fully committed to the suggested academic plan.
- Intend to pursue a professional career by going back to her native country.
- Candidates for doctorates and master’s degrees must have applied to a recognised institution for the fellowship year and provide the name of the university in their international fellowship application.
- Fellowships for master’s or first professional degrees are meant for programs leading to master’s or professional degrees, such as M.D., D.D.S., J.D., M.F.A., L.L.M., or M.Arch.
- Doctorate degrees, such as the Ph.D. or Ed.D., are the focus of doctoral fellowships.
- Postdoctoral candidates must show proof of their doctorate; by November 15, 2024, they must hold a doctorate recognized as a research degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., D.B.A., D.M.) or an M.F.A.; and they must specify the location of their study.
- Â Candidates are required to participate in study or research throughout the entire calendar year. Fellowships from international sources do not fund any part of a year dedicated to research or study. Programs that conclude before April of the fellowship year are not eligible.
-  Doctoral fellowships and those for master’s or first professional degrees are intended for traditional classroom-based courses at colleges and universities. Online courses, distance learning, and programs that incorporate significant elements of distance education are not eligible for funding through this fellowship program. The AAUW will have the final authority in determining what constitutes distance learning for these fellowships.
How to Apply
Get the following paperwork ready:
- In your pursuit of scholarly endeavour’s, three recommenders who are academicians or working colleagues who are well-versed in your work and academic background should be considered dossier assistance.
- Evidence of the most significant level.
- Evidence of current enrolment (only applications from registered students).
- Evidence for a bachelor’s degree.
- Evidence of a PhD or MFA (exclusively for postdoctoral candidates).
- Official report of TOEFL test scores or waiver request.
- Letter of admission.
- C.V/ Resume
- Pass the eligibility quiz to be reviewed by the selection panel.
- Complete the application, then submit it.
