After three years of preparation, Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other United Arab Emirates residents finally implemented their plans in 2003. According to the university, the university’s founders “envisioned an institution that would be among the greatest in the UAE and worldwide.” It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees based on the American higher education paradigm and is the largest private university in the United Arab Emirates. Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri is the organization’s founder and current chairman.

HSC/ Intermediate pass with minimum grades of 65%+

A Levels: The minimum required for admission is a total of seven (7) courses at either the O Level or AS/A2 Level, in at least four (4) of the following fields:

Mathematics, Languages, Sciences, Social Studies and Humanities, Art and Design;

and a minimum required grade of C for the O Level, D for the AS Level, and E for the A2 Level

Abu Dhabi University Scholarship:

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Scholarship
Value: The H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship that offers a 100% waiver on tuition, application fee, registration fee, student services fee, and health service fee.

Eligibility Requirements:


This scholarship is available to the top 20 public secondary school graduates across the UAE who are newly admitted and join ADU in the fall semester of the year that they graduate from high school only.
Receipt of the scholarship is contingent upon the selection and formal approval from the Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed AI Nahyan
The scholarship is applicable to the period of time the student is enrolled at ADU on a full-time basis (registered with a minimum of 12 credit hours)
Meeting the English language proficiency requirements defined by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
EmSAT (or equivalent international exams) requirements: Applicants will be required to have a minimum EmSAT Math score of 1,200, an English score of 1,600, and an Arabic score of 900 for all colleges.

A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.70
A minimum of 12 passed credit hours per semester, except for the Winter and Summer terms
The scholarship will not cover repeated courses including courses graded as F, WA, and W

Merit-Based Graduate Scholarship


Value: Applicants with an undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.5 (or equivalent) who pursue their postgraduate studies at Abu Dhabi University are entitled to a 25% waiver on tuition fees.

Eligibility Requirements


To maintain the waiver, a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 in the Master level program is required

Rules And Regulations


In the case where a student qualifies for more than one postgraduate waiver program, the student must choose one waiver program and will not be permitted to change to another waiver program during his/her entire study
In any semester where the minimum required Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is not met the student will lose the waiver for the following semester. Furthermore, if the student’s Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) reaches the minimum required level again, the waiver will be automatically reinstated
Any student who is found guilty of a student code of conduct violation or an academic integrity offense will forfeit the waiver for the remaining study in ADU
The merit-based tuition waiver will cover winter and summer terms
The merit-based tuition waiver will not cover any repeated courses including grades F, WA, and W

Chairman’s Scholarship


Value: 100% waiver on tuition, application fee, registration fee, student services fee, and health service fee.

Eligibility Requirements


This scholarship is available to students who obtain an average of 97% or above in each of their last three years of secondary school (grades 10,11 and 12), however, who gets graduation from secondary school, and who join ADU in the same year as their secondary school graduation
Receipt of the scholarship is contingent upon the selection and formal approval from the Office of the Chairman
The scholarship is applicable to the period of time the student applies at ADU on a full-time basis (registered for a minimum of 12 credit hours)
Meeting the English language proficiency requirements defined by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Abu Dhabi University Scholarship:

Value of Abu Dhabi University Scholarship: From 10% up to 50% waiver on tuition fees for UAE residents and GCC candidates (GCC candidates must provide officially attested documents).

Eligibility Requirements


University scholarship is applicable to UAE residents and GCC national candidates who meet the specified criteria
Students who have newly graduated from secondary school, and join ADU within two years of their secondary school graduation, may receive a scholarship with a value from 10% up to 50% waiver on tuition fee per campus based on their high school average
Meeting the English language proficiency requirements defined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
The scholarship will be applicable to the period of time the student applies at ADU with full-time status (Submit for a minimum of 12 credit hours). The only exception to the 12 credit hours may be given in the first applicable semester and the following term for students who have not yet met the English language proficiency requirements.

Academic Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements


This scholarship is available to continue students who obtain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.60 for two consecutive semesters
The academic scholarship will be applicable to the period of time the student applies at ADU with full-time status (registered with a minimum of 12 credit hours)

Ongoing Scholarship Maintenance


A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.60
A minimum of 12 passed credit hours per semester, except for Winter and Summer terms
The scholarship will not cover any replicate courses including courses graded, such as F, W, and W
