The Griffith University of Australia is a government university for higher studies. The first degrees in environmental science and Asian studies were offered in Australia at Griffith, which officially opened its doors in 1975 after being formed in 1971. Sir Samuel Walker Griffith, the first Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia and a twice-elected Premier of Queensland, is honored by the name of GU. The primary author of the Australian constitution, Sir Samuel Griffith, had a significant influence on the formation of the Federation of Australia. GU attained the 7th highest student satisfaction score among Australian universities in the 2019 Student Experience Survey.

GU ranking is highly appreciable as it secured a 301–400 position among the best universities in the world. Also, the University ranking in Australia is 33. The University world ranking, often known as the Griffith University QS ranking, is 290. Another plus is the Griffith University acceptance rate of 50%.
