The University of Southern Queensland is a moderate regional university with its headquarters in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. USQ College came into existence in 1969 as the Queensland Institute of Technology’s Darling Downs campus. The college first offered study abroad and rural Queensland community programmes in 1970. In 1971, the institute turns into The Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education. In 1990, it changed its name to University College of Southern Queensland, and after two years, in 1992, it turns into the University of Southern Queensland USQ.
