University of the Fraser Valley

The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is a Canadian multi-campus government institution with branches in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, and Hope, British Columbia. Moreover, It is also famous as the University College of Fraser. Fraser Valley College came into existence in 1974 in response to the Fraser Valley communities’ demand for greater vocational training. Furthermore, It was granted the status of a university college in 1988 and began awarding degrees. However,It expanded quickly under the name University College of the Fraser Valley, evolving into one of the biggest university institutions in Canada. On April 21, 2008, the provincial government granted full university status in response to the expanding demand for higher education in the area and the province.
