About University

The University of Windsor is a Canadian public research university providing education in Windsor, Ontario. Informally, it is popular as (U of W, UWindsor, or UWin) and came into being in 1857. It is the southernmost institution in Canada, with around 12,000 full-time and part-time undergraduate students and 4,000 graduate students. It is a learner-centered, comprehensive university that is the ideal location for one of Canada’s most significant globally oriented institutions. The University has a large alumni network that lives and works all over the world. A Graduates Ambassador Award is accessible to graduates in their mid-career who are outstanding in their professional or voluntary efforts.
