University College Dublin is a non-private post-secondary institution working in Ireland’s main city Dublin. It is also a constituent institution of the National University of Ireland. John Henry Newman was the institution’s first rector when it began in 1854 as the Catholic University of Ireland. It got recognition in 1880 and updated its charter in 1908. UCD is born from this organization. It is one of the most reputable universities in the nation and the largest university in Ireland, with 33,284 students. Five Nobel laureates are among the graduates, existing employees, and former employees at UCD. Furthermore, four Irish Taoiseach (Prime Ministers) and their three Presidents, as well as one Indian President, got their degrees from UCD.
