Birmingham, England’s University College Birmingham is a government institution of higher learning. In 2012, it shared full university status with Newman University. It is not a part of Universities UK.

Instead of being a branch of Birmingham’s Municipal Technical School, the institution came into being as the College of Bakery, Catering, Domestic Science, and Related Studies.
