University of Huddersfield, sometimes known as the Huddersfield University, is England’s research-based institution in the West Yorkshire town of Huddersfield. Originally a collection of 19th-century institutions that later became a university in 1992. In 2017, it was presented with a Teaching Excellence Framework Gold Award and the first Higher Education Academy Global Teaching Excellence Award. Its operations have placed a particular emphasis on teaching quality. In 2017, it won the first Higher Education Academy Global Teaching Excellence Award and a Teaching Excellence Framework Gold Award.
