Brown University

Brown University in USA is a member of the Private Ivy League and a research institution for higher studies located in Providence, Rhode Island. One of the nine colonial schools established before the American Revolution, University was founded in 1764 as the Institute in the English Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. It is the 7th longest-living institute of higher learning in the United States. When founded, BU was the first university in North America to admit students regardless of their religious affiliation. In addition to the oldest engineering program in the Ivy League and the oldest applied mathematics program in the nation, the university is home to the third-oldest medical program in New England.
