University of Chester

The University of Chester is a public university located in Chester, England. The university originated as the first purpose-built teacher training college in the UK. As a university, it now occupies five campus sites in and around Chester, one in Warrington, and a University Centre in Shrewsbury. It offers a range of foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as undertaking academic research.

The university is a member of AACSB, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Cathedrals Group, the North West Universities Association, and Universities UK. It holds the Silver Award in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

The University of Chester Entry Requirements are: Successful completion of High Secondary Certificate or SSC
HSC OR completed HSC with a pre-engineering/pre-medical/science. Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE). A 2-year bachelor’s degree or a 3-year bachelor’s degree with good grades will be considered for 2nd-year entry.


For a master’s, successful completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution is required. Applicants for the MBA should have 2 years of work experience, although well-qualified and motivated individuals without this will be considered for entry in

For the students of A-levels, the requirement varies from 96 to 112 UCAS tariff points.
Higher Secondary School Certificate: HSSC is not accepted.
