City, University of London, is a public research university in London, United Kingdom, and a member institution of the federal University of London. It came into being in 1894 as the Northampton Institute and became a university when The City University began by royal charter in 1966. Moreover, it is a leading UK University, with a vision to transforming lives through education. In addition, it is home to nearly 20,000 students from over 160 countries. Furthermore, it ranks #=328 in QS World University Rankings 2024. Whereas the City is 39th in the UK out of 129 universities according to the Times Higher Education rankings. Additionally, City University London comes at #889th position in Best Global Universities. Besides that, the City University of London has an acceptance rate of 12%, meaning that it’s highly selective in its student intake.

Entry Requirements

High School: Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC). Students must recognize foundation course.
International Baccalaureate: maintain a minimum IB of 33 in order to stand a good chance to get admission
A-levels: Range from AAA-BCC, depending on the course.

Postgraduate

Applicants for all postgraduate degrees should normally hold a university honors degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate subject.

English Language Requirements

IELTS Academic: 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component
(PTE) Academic: 59 in each area (writing, speaking listening, and reading).
TOEFL iBT and TOEFL at-home solution: 72 overall with no less than 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading, and 20 in Speaking.

President’s International Scholarship

Value of the scholarship
The value of the Scholarships in 2023/24 will be 50% of the course fee for the first year only.

Eligibility criteria for application

  1. Be a student expecting to pay Overseas fees.
  2. Also, be in your first year of undergraduate study in 2023/24.
  3. Starting in year 1 of your degree at City starting in September 2023.
  4. Be expected to achieve academic grades above the conditions in your offer (or equivalents in other eligible qualifications).
  5. Make City your Firm choice, either as a Conditional Firm (CF) or Unconditional Firm (UF), in line with the UCAS response deadline in June 2023.
Terms and conditions

1. The scholarship is available to all undergraduate students assessed as ‘International’ by City, University of London who meet the eligibility requirements and terms and conditions.

2. Students must be registered full-time at City on 1st December 2023 to be eligible to receive the scholarship.

3. Students must also be commencing the first year of their degree as a new student i.e. those commencing in Year 2 or 3 will not be eligible.

4. Year 0 (Foundation Year) students are not eligible and Year 0 students progressing to Year 1 will not be eligible. Moreover, this includes students on our foundation programs at INTO City and Kaplan, who are advised to see the scholarships specifically for students progressing from those partners.

5. Students whose fees are reassessed after the award of the scholarship will be required to reimburse the difference. This will be either in the current year or a subsequent year; the year being at the discretion of the institution. Students who withdraw and restart year 1 after having been awarded will not be eligible a second time.

6. Students should apply for the scholarship by 2nd June 2023. Students who do not complete the application process by this deadline will not be eligible.

7. Students must choose City, University of London as their Firm choice through UCAS at the initial decision stage.

8. The request to the students is to provide additional information to confirm their eligibility for a scholarship, typically about their residency or previous studies. The request is to provide any additional information to the City, University of London by 1st September 2023 for a student to be in consideration for a scholarship.

9. City, University of London reserves the right to make changes to the terms and conditions of the scholarship and these will appear on our website.

10. If, after applying for one of the scholarships, your circumstances change and you are no longer eligible for that scholarship, you may be considered for one of the other available awards at the discretion of the City.

11. Students from the European Union, who are applying for the EU Settlement Scheme and expecting to pay home fees, should only apply for the Lord Mayor of London Scholarship for Academic Excellence.

12. Students who are successful in their application to this scheme are not eligible to receive funding from any of our other scholarships.

13. Scholarships are in the gift of the university and we can exclude an applicant at our discretion.

 Bayes Business School International Scholarship

Value of the scholarship
The value of the Scholarship in 2023/24 will be £5,500 for each student who will get this scholarship for Year 1 only.

Deadlines

  1. Submission deadline: Thursday 31st August 2023
  2. Notification of scholarship results: Thursday 30th November 2023

Eligibility criteria

There are 20 of these scholarships available and to qualify for the Bayes Business School International Scholarship in 2023/24, you must meet the following conditions in full:

  1. Be a student expecting to pay Overseas fees; and
  2. Be in your first year of undergraduate study in 2023/24; and
  3. Starting in year 1 of your degree at Bayes Business School of City, University of London, from September 2023; and
  4. Be expected to achieve academic grades that exceed the conditions of your offer and the advertised academic criteria; and
  5. Make City your Firm choice, either as a Conditional Firm (CF) or Unconditional Firm (UF).
Terms and conditions
  1. Firstly, the scholarship is available to all undergraduate students assessed as ‘International Overseas Fee payers’ by the City, University of London and who meet the eligibility requirements and terms and conditions in full;
  2. In addition, to be eligible you must have completed registration in full by Monday 16th October 2023;
  3. Students must be commencing the first year of their degree as a new student i.e. those commencing in Year 2 or 3 will not be eligible;
  4. Moreover, Year 0 (Foundation Year) students are not eligible and Year 0 students progressing to Year 1 will not be eligible;
  5. Also, students whose fees are reassessed in the middle of their degree or who restart their degree will not be eligible;
  6. Applicants should apply for the scholarship by Thursday 31st August 2023. However, those who do not complete the application process by this deadline will not be eligible;
  7. Applicants must also choose City, University of London as their Firm choice through UCAS at the initial decision stage;
  8. Furthermore, the request to students is to provide additional information to confirm their eligibility for a scholarship, typically about their residency or previous studies. The request is to provide any additional information to the City, University of London by the deadline given, for a student to be considered for a scholarship;
  9. Besides that, City, University of London reserves the right to make changes to the terms and conditions of the scholarship and these will appear on our website;
  10. Additionally, if, after applying for one of the scholarships, your circumstances change and you are no longer eligible for that scholarship, you may be considered for one of the other available awards at the discretion of the City;
  11. Moreover, applicants from the European Union who have been granted residency rights under the EU Settlement Scheme and are expecting to pay home fees are not eligible for this scholarship;
  12. Whereas students who are successful in their application to this scheme are not eligible to receive funding from any of our other scholarships;
  13. Students who get any other scholarship by City, University of London (this includes progression scholarships awarded to Kaplan and INTO students progressing to a Bayes Business School program) will not be eligible to receive this scholarship and will be out from the final shortlist;
  14. Scholarships are in the gift of the university and we can exclude an applicant at our discretion.

 Post-graduate scholarships

Global STEM Leadership Masters Scholarship

“Global STEM Leadership” Scholarship Programme. We offer:

  1. Up to 10 scholarships, which will cover 75% of tuition fees.
  2. Up to 15 scholarships, which will cover 50% of tuition fees.

Eligibility

Firstly, the scholarship is available to students from the UK and overseas, including from the EU. Furthermore, all School of Science & Technology full-time Master level programs are eligible for the scholarship.

How to apply

You must have applied for one of the Master’s level courses available by The School of Science & Technology before consideration for this scholarship.

Also, you will need to submit an application using the link below where you should best reflect your personality and address the selection criteria listed below:

  1. Academic achievement
  2. Evidence of leadership potential
  3. Vision of how the chosen STEM subject of study may change in the future
  4. Communication ability

In addition, an interview will be held for candidates who appear on the shortlist via a video conference during June of the current academic year. However, the senior academics will do the assessment of applications from the school against the selection criteria listed above. Also, the decision of the panel is final.

Terms and Conditions
  1. Scholarships will take the form of a fee waiver applied against the last payable installment in any year. In other words, if your scholarship covers 50% of the tuition fee, you have to pay 50% of the normal tuition fee upfront with no further payment. If your scholarship covers 75% of the tuition fee, you have to pay 25% of the normal tuition fee upfront with no further payment.
  2. In addition, scholarships are available at the discretion of the Scholarship Panel and all decisions are final.
  3. Also, scholarships are only available to students paying the full fee on one of the participating courses.
  4. Additionally, the scholarship intends to assist the student in meeting the cost of the fee payable in respect of the course and will be deducted from the fees charged to the student or the student’s sponsor.
  5. Furthermore, the scholarship will not be recorded on the degree certificate from the Institute. However, references for students who have completed the course may refer to the scholarship.
  6. Moreover, all scholarship recipients must submit a report at the end of their study reflecting on their experience at City, University of London.
  7. Besides that, this scholarship cannot be accessible in conjunction with any other funding available by City, University of London.
