ECU Higher Degree by Research Scholarships
Edith Cowan University PHD scholarships aims to assist postgraduate students who show strong research potential and who are pursuing a higher degree at ECU through research. These scholarship awards depend on the student’s research performance and academic merit. The RTP Stipend Scholarship or the ECU Higher Degree by Research Scholarship would be available to successful applicants. These scholarships actively cover the cost of tuition and provide a $33,000 annual stipend biweekly via electronic funds transfer. Additional perks include, if applicable, an overseas student health cover policy for international students and a relocation allowance for domestic students. Moreover, the scholarship will be available for up to two years full-time for a Master’s Research degree and up to three years full-time for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Eligibility guidelines
Those who meet the following minimal requirements will be eligible for Edith Cowan University phd scholarships:
received an unconditional offer to enroll in an ECU Master by Research, Integrated PhD research course, or Higher Degree You can apply for this scholarship if you have applied for course entrance but have not received an offer yet. Your application will be evaluated if you receive an unconditional course offer by the scholarship.
If any of the following apply to you, you are not eligible to apply for these scholarships:
- You have received an Australia Award or an Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) scholarship each of the last two years.
- if your doctor of philosophy program starts after October 5, 2024.
- If you want to start your Masters by Research program after the first semester of 2024.
- If, as per the RTP Conditions of Award, your income exceeds 75% of the 2023 RTP basic stipend rate ($33,000), you are not eligible to be considered for the RTP Stipend award.
