2023 and 2024 International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship

International students from a limited number of nations who can demonstrate exceptional academic accomplishment in their prior studies are eligible to apply for the International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship. The scholarship provides a 20% tuition fee reduction for your ECU assessment course. Future overseas students wishing to enroll in Edith Cowan University’s bachelor’s program are eligible to apply for the scholarships. There are only a few spots left for this scholarship.

Eligibility guidelines

In order to qualify for this scholarship, you have to:

  1. Possess citizenship in one of the nations mentioned above;
  2. Be a foreign student, not a citizen of Australia, a permanent resident of Australia, or a citizen of New Zealand;
  3. Study on campus at ECU South West (Bunbury) Campus, ECU Mount Lawley, or ECU Joondalup Campus;
  4. Not be receiving funding from the government or business; receive an invitation to pursue an undergraduate degree between March 6, 2023, and August 13, 2024;
  5. Fulfill the additional requirements set by ECU (review your secondary school records in the nation where you finished your secondary education) and the entry requirements set by ECU for the course, starting on-campus study at ECU in Western Australia in Semester Two of 2023, November 2023 (Summer School), or Semesters One or Two of 2024; and
  6. Study for an eligible undergraduate degree (except the following: Bachelor of Science (Nursing) C33; Bachelor of Science (Nursing)/Bachelor of Science (Midwifery) (Y76) and Bachelor of Science (Paramedical) K89);Early Childhood Studies (Bachelor of Education) Y42; Primary Education (Bachelor of Education) Y41; Secondary Education (Bachelor of Education) Y68; Music Theatre (Bachelor of Arts) G44; Dance (Bachelor of Arts) G48; Music Honours K35, Music L66, Music W76, Music Performing Arts Honours W92, Arts Management (Bachelor of Arts) Y20, Acting (Bachelor of Arts) Y93, Bachelor of Performing Arts Y97, Bachelor of Arts Honours C34).
How to apply

Our Admissions Office will immediately evaluate you for this award if we approve your application for an ECU course. It is not required to submit another scholarship application.

To verify your accomplishment, the Admissions Office will send you a separate letter about your scholarship and a Letter of Offer for your course. 

2023 and 2024 International Masters Scholarship

The International Masters Scholarship is offered to international students from selected countries applying for select Masters’s degrees at ECU. The grant offers a 20 percent tuition reduction for your first year in ECU’s Masters program. Future overseas students wishing to enroll at Edith Cowan University are eligible to apply for the international scholarships.
