To encourage exceptional local and international students to conduct doctorate research, Flinders University provides prominent Postgraduate scholarships. The purpose of these scholarships is to offer financial help so that applicants can concentrate on their studies and attain academic success in a lively and encouraging research setting.
Flinders International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (FIPRS)
The Flinders International Research Scholarship (FIPRS) provides funding, particularly for international students who need to cover their tuition and receive a stipend.
There are very few FIPRS available for international students each year, and each round of competition is intense due to the limited number of scholarships. Candidates who show exceptional potential for independent research, academic merit, training in educational research, and research indicators and performance are given the FIPRS.
For a research doctorate, the scholarship can be renewed for up to three years; for a master’s degree, it can be renewed for up to two years. As part of a higher degree program, successful applicants must begin their first research project in Australia and enrol in full-time studies.
