The Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship is open for applications throughout the university’s Continuous Scholarship Round.
Scholarships are accessible for two years for a Master’s by research degree and three years for a Doctorate by research degree. The award covers tuition and healthcare costs.

Eligibility
- Except (Australia or New Zealand), be a citizen of any country.
- Have at least a prior GPA of 6.0 or above on a 7-point scale, or equivalent.
- Got an offer to study at Griffith by the scholarship application deadline.
- Complete all academic and English language entry requirements for your respective undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
- Be studying full-time beginning in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
How to Apply
- Contact us to apply to study in Griffith University undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs.
- Once you obtain your Letter of Offer, we will apply for the scholarship by the deadline. You must submit academic records and a personal statement.
- If you meet all of the eligibility conditions, a University panel will consider your application.
- We will notify you of the outcome of your application.
Terms & conditions
- Griffith University academic and English language entry requirements apply, including previous study results and English language proficiency.
- The award exclusively covers postgraduate coursework tuition fees.
- The scholarship covers 50% of postgraduate coursework tuition fees only for the duration of the program on meeting the ongoing enrolment requirements.
- To be eligible for the scholarship and each scholarship deduction, students must pay their international fees. Any change in International Fee Paying student status will result in the scholarship being no longer eligible.
- This is a competitive scholarship, and scholarships are limited. When the number of scholarship acceptances exceeds one, the Griffith International Scholarship Office will notify applicants that all available scholarships have been awarded and the awards have been withdrawn.
- Excludes students studying in Higher Degree Research, non-award, Study Abroad Programs, Masters Qualifying Programs, MBA, Graduate Diploma of Flight Management, English language programs at the Griffith English Language Institute, part-time programs, and programs provided onshore or offshore along with a partner organization.
- Deferral of scholarships is not permissible.
- The recipients of this scholarship are expected to be featured in Griffith University’s marketing initiatives.

- Be a full-time student beginning in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
- This excludes the following programs: Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Dental Health Science, Doctor of Medicine, Master of Dentistry, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Speech Pathology, and Graduate Diploma in Aviation Management.

Terms & Condition
- Griffith University academic and English language entry requirements apply, including previous study results and English language proficiency.
- The scholarship applies to tuition fees only for students commencing in 2024, 2025, or 2026. Students who delay starting in 2027 or later are ineligible for the award.
- The scholarship covers 25% of postgraduate coursework tuition fees only for the ‘duration’ of the eligible program on meeting the ongoing enrolment requirements. The time frame is defined as the ‘Program Length’ of the first-degree program as described in your Letter of Offer, less any credit for prior study. Each deduction will be applied by the census date for each relevant trimester of the program.
- If a student gets a Griffith international student scholarship that is worth more than 25% of tuition fees, the scholarship at the higher value will apply rather than this scholarship.
- To be eligible for the scholarship and each scholarship deduction, students must pay their international fees. Any change in International Fee Paying student status will result in the scholarship removal.
- This does not include students registering in Higher Degree Research, non-award, Study Abroad Program, Masters Qualifying Program, MBA, Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Dental Health Science, Hons, Master of Dentistry, Doctor of Medicine, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Speech Pathology, Graduate Diploma of Flight Management, English language programs at the Griffith English Language Institute, part-time programs, and programs provided onshore or offshore.

- Complete the Direct entry program at Griffith English Language Institute GELI).
- Complete all academic and English language entry requirements for your respective undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
- Be a full-time student commencing in Trimester 1, 2, or 3 of 2024 at Griffith University.

Terms and conditions
- Griffith University’s academic and English language entrance criteria apply.
- The scholarship solely applies to undergraduate or postgraduate coursework tuition costs.
- AU$ 1,000 will be taken from undergraduate or postgraduate coursework tuition costs and applied during the first trimester of the program’s first year. It will be implemented by the Griffith University census date for the program.
- To be eligible for the scholarship and scholarship deduction, students must pay their international fees. Any change in International Fee Paying student status will result in the removal of the scholarship.
- Deferral of scholarships is not permissible.
- Excludes study abroad and exchange programs, higher education research, government scholarship students, and online, non-award, and offshore-delivered programs.
